Everything You Ever Wanted
to Know About the Elusive Junonia

Example of a Junonia shell - cream with brown spots.

Southwest Florida's Most Sought After Seashell...

Junonias are one of the most beautiful seashells the Gulf Coast has to offer to collectors. Of the five different subspecies, the shell can range from nearly white to a rich butterscotch color and the spots can be nearly yellow to an intense, dark brown. Because they are so beautiful and they live at such depths, few are found on beaches. All are highly prized, even bits and pieces of the shell, which are called “cobbs.” Many people spend their entire lives searching beaches after storms to become a member of the elusive “J Club”! Here at GulfCoastJunonias.com, you'll find reputable information about Junonias and other seashells, how and where to shell yourself and more. We invite you to share your feedback to help the site become even better for all shellers.
